

{"id":7086,"date":"2013-10-09T12:33:42","date_gmt":"2013-10-09T16:33:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/linaru.com\/en\/?p=7086"},"modified":"2021-10-19T12:47:38","modified_gmt":"2021-10-19T16:47:38","slug":"the-poetry-of-science","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/linaru.com\/en\/the-poetry-of-science\/","title":{"rendered":"The Poetry of Science"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"grid kcm\">\n<div class=\"grid__item one-whole portable--auto lap--auto palm--auto\">\n<pre>\r\nScience in its groundness is humble. \r\nArrogance only leads to ignorance. \r\nOur fears seek to fulfill self-serving delusions:\r\nvoid of understanding, void of compassion. \r\n\r\nScience in its grounding is humbleness, \r\nteaching us that we are not the center of the universe\r\nbut a blink of an eye that comes from exploded stars.  \r\n\r\nWe are universes scattered throughout the shorelines of existence, \r\nbut at the same time we are not. \r\n\r\nWe are the center of conscious awareness, \r\nbut at the same time we are not.  \r\n\r\nWe are a consciousness that comes from the most tragic event of all, \r\nthe death of a star, \r\nbut at the same time it is the most joyous experience of all, \r\nthe beginning of life. \r\n\r\nWe want to be the center, \r\nbut we are already the center of awareness, \r\nso why do we feel the need to convince others of our power? \r\n\r\nWe are the center, but we are not. \r\n\r\nWe are a planet in the middle of nowhere\r\ntrying to find meaning and purpose \r\nwhen all meaning and purpose \r\nhas already been exposed to us \r\nas the first star died. \r\n\r\nWe are here to prepare to die, \r\nto die as the star that gave birth to us, \r\nto die to give birth to new life that will not err as we did, \r\nto die to return to the star of stars, \r\nto die to connect in giveness \r\nas it was given to us to survive throughout our existence, \r\nhumbly connected in a network of continual renewal;\r\nso what is most magnificent and still humbling experience? \r\n\r\nBoth treasures: \r\nNot knowing, but being the poetic act; \r\nknowing while still being poetry. \r\n\r\nKnowing, but still ignorant. \r\nIgnorance as the acceptance of our limits,\r\nthe humbling desire to be the poetic act. \r\n\r\nHowever, ignorance as the betrayal of the star&rsquo;s death\r\nis the denial of your poetic being. \r\nSuch ignorance is portrayed to others as arrogance \r\nby trying to convince others with self-indulgent lies. \r\nStill convinced you are the center of the universe, \r\nyou deceive those who hunger for truth\r\nbut don&rsquo;t know how to observe with transparency.  \r\n\r\nYou, neurotic narcissist, stop lying to yourself \r\nand realize the greatest act of compassion: \r\nThe biggest star in your life died for you. \r\n\r\nLiterally, it died transcending the cross \r\nwith an unconditional giveness, \r\nand because of such death, you are aware.\r\n\r\nAs long as such transcendent awareness exists, \r\nwhy do you betray yourself and the universe \r\nthat sleeps within you? \r\n\r\nHumble yourself!  \r\n\r\nFeel the relevance of your existence,\r\nbut at the same time feel the fulfillment \r\nof simply being another consciousness.  \r\n\r\nFeel the irrelevance of having a consciousness \r\njust as animals, trees, and even glorious stars do, \r\nbut at the same time feel the blissful consciousness, \r\na humanitarian consciousness; \r\nyour poetic heart.  \r\n\r\nThe poetic act of science is the realization \r\nthat our origins are mysterious \r\nand the imagination that surrounds us,\r\nour curiosity, is eternally expanding. \r\n\r\nKnowledge, never wholly complete, is in us. \r\n\r\nIt is in our striving toward completion,\r\nour striving into becoming poetic, \r\nthat we become transcendent enough \r\nto understand we are the universe \r\nlooking at itself: hoping, dreaming, \r\nexperiencing itself until the mirror \r\nbecomes clear enough to observe ourselves \r\nwithout the fog of our delusions. \r\n\r\nIn such transparency, may our humble poetics \r\nbecome aware of the universe as giveness, \r\nas love, as unconditional, as creating itself \r\nall over again as a fortuitous star exploding, \r\ngiving itself to us as we will one day give \r\nourselves to others: becoming an exploding star \r\nwhile still breathing, a poetic heart beating.  \r\n    \r\n<\/pre>\n<div class=\"important\">First, we must humble ourselves through science: http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HRlQ1_KRCCw Next, feel transcendence through the poetics of science: http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JcIBg8KuY3k<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Science in its groundness is humble.
