{"id":7662,"date":"2016-02-28T21:53:29","date_gmt":"2016-02-29T02:53:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/linaru.com\/en\/?p=7662"},"modified":"2021-11-16T17:09:16","modified_gmt":"2021-11-16T22:09:16","slug":"the-cries-of-whales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/linaru.com\/en\/the-cries-of-whales\/","title":{"rendered":"The Cries of Whales"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"grid kcm\">\n<div class=\"grid__item nine-twelfths portable--auto lap--auto palm--auto top-no-padding bottom-no-padding center  \"><audio preload=\"none\" controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/linaru.com\/audio\/2016\/the-cries-of-whales.ogg\" type=\"audio\/ogg\"><\/source><source src=\"https:\/\/linaru.com\/audio\/2016\/the-cries-of-whales.mp3%E2%80%9D%20type=\" audio=\"\" mp3=\"\"><\/source><\/audio><\/div>\n<div class=\"grid__item one-whole portable--auto lap--auto palm--auto\">\n<pre>Whales cry, shallow sea,\r\nlabyrinth of ventricular\r\nblues, shallow sea, whales\r\ncry trapped by recent fear.  \r\n \r\nCalves don't understand\r\nhow leeches hunt, they \r\nexsanguinate their prey\r\nfrom their future say,\r\ncan we raise our nature\r\nabove disdainful ways?\r\n\r\nI can't ask for that which\r\nI can't give; there are \r\nthose who seek to destroy\r\nand those who can't defend \r\nthemselves and use toys. \r\nIf not protected by most,\r\nleeches suck them whole.\r\n\r\nWithout a mirror and a net, \r\nour neurons can't fathom \r\nanother's distant distress,\r\nwe can't observe \r\nwe're trapped.\r\n\r\nBefuddled into submission, \r\ntumbled into a fiery well, \r\nall that is felt is our hurt,\r\nblinded we're sent to vote.\r\nVictory settles the struggle,\r\nbut it's never far-reaching \r\nsince the rapine occurs while \r\nwe're asleep as tragic downfalls.\r\n\r\nBeneath the whale's domain, \r\na seabed, invertebrates seem\r\nasleep as well, the sunflower \r\nstarfish starved for brittle stars \r\nbegins its hunt, but as it moves\r\nThe fragile get out of the way.\r\n\r\nIf brittle stars can forecast \r\nthe sunflower's moves, why \r\ncan't we prevent the rapine?\r\n\r\nLet's learn to work together as one\r\nwho is made up of millions of brittle \r\nstars whose shine tells others how to \r\nanticipate the movement of a predator.\r\n\r\nIf we use mirrors to see through\r\nus and those who suffer even though \r\nwe're trapped in their net, we'll cast \r\na brilliance that will guide us \r\neven asleep. \r\n\r\nMay whales be stars \r\ntonight. \r\nMay they dream of bravery \r\ntonight.\r\nWhales may be brittle,\r\nbut bravery \r\nis their might.\r\nBe bravery tonight. \r\n<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whales cry, shallow sea, labyrinth of ventricular blues, shallow sea, whales cry trapped by recent fear.
