Ladders float, around me\r\nthree boats, water blinks, \r\nif breath stalls your rise,  \r\nit glitters, fame delivers \r\nnothing, an empty promise,\r\nI believe, water sinks me, \r\nNo, it’s my breath, who is \r\nthe judge? Myself, no, It’s \r\nthem. Gatekeepers, I’m tired,\r\nhushed, cornered, dead ended.  \r\nIt’s the water, I believe, it\r\npulls me down, no it’s me, \r\nI breathe without a fiery \r\nresolution to thrive, but I\r\ndo. I struggle to redeem\r\nmyself from the powerful \r\nabove. There’s no use, can’t \r\ngrasp hope, much less lift \r\na ladder to the boat, tried\r\nonce, below average, isn’t it\r\nsubjective, intersubjective,\r\nperhaps there’s an objective\r\nto the fake promises, praise\r\nisn’t what you wish for, let\r\nthe waters of time glut you \r\nup, not men. As for them, as\r\nthirsty as you are they are, \r\nunsufferable. Destroyed by\r\na desire so vain, once there,\r\nthe dire applause won’t cure.  \r\nIf you want to excel, measure\r\nyourself with yourself, time\r\nas your only witness. Ladders\r\naren’t there for you, someone\r\nleft it there before drowning.\r\nIf you use it, will you honor\r\nthe previous owner, will you\r\ndishonor what another life  \r\ntaught you to set you free\r\nfrom those blinking waters? \r\nWant something ahead? Do it for\r\nyour own sake. Even once above,\r\nthe boat might deny you space, \r\ndon’t let their terms dictate \r\nwho you are, where you go, how\r\nyou perform. Excellence hides \r\nin overcoming, in a struggle, in \r\nan uncomfortable place. If you\r\nare afforded a space, you might \r\nlose what illuminates waters,\r\nthe blinking might not be them,\r\nbut you, always ahead, unaware \r\nthat the reflection of the moon\r\nwas not yourself, but you, Sun\r\nand yet dusk has just begun.  \r\n<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
