When I’m about to fall, \r\nreflex lets me stay tall.\r\n\r\nUntainted I am not afraid\r\nto learn, the only award \r\ngiven is the capability \r\nof my parietal, enhanced. \r\n\r\nIf my awareness situates \r\nmovement as tranquility,\r\nI’ve reached the frontal \r\nway to plan what to do\r\nnext. If I become instead\r\nangered, I’ll lose, afraid.
\r\n\r\nWar aga¡nst fear! \r\nWar ¡s fear, tar!\r\n\r\nThe brave despite fear stay\r\ntrue to the Manaslu as they \r\ndescend, the risk of a fall \r\nwon’t kill a will to thrive. \r\n\r\nIf I ever would fall, ¡ could \r\nforever fear. Paralys¡s! ¡ could\r\nchoose not to walk or ¡ could \r\nteach to firmly persist, ¡ could\r\npush bodily against fear, ¡ could\r\nprevail calm against aggression.\r\n\r\nIt’s not gravity that’s guilty, \r\nit’s what I expect it to be\r\nthat isn’t, misinterpretation.
\r\n\r\nYoung minds know no hate, \r\nfalling, not an impediment,\r\nurging with anticipation \r\nthe moment of satisfaction\r\nthat doesn’t know descent. \r\n\r\nIf later I learn I'm afraid\r\nof falling, I shall not hate\r\nthe mountain nor descent.\r\n\r\nResist the echo of destruction.\r\nSeed firs to dispel malnourished\r\nechoes. Lead to novel reactions.\r\nLet inquiry find itself in minds\r\nthat wallow not in discontent\r\nnor fear but honorable courage.  \r\n\r\nClean up the amygdala's dirty\r\nshores. Short circuit fear. Teach \r\nthe hippocampus funambulism.\r\n\r\nMay I respite, catch the lies, \r\ndance despite the intensity \r\nof the atmospheric light, mighty \r\nfelt but balanced of thought, \r\nfrontal I choose what's destiny:\r\nTo be true to the intellect. \r\n<\/pre>\n
Note: Manaslu is a mountain in the Himalayas. The word derives from the Sanskrit (मनस्) manas<\/em> which in this poem’s context means: primarily intellect.<\/div>\n
