Waiting for Spring

Waiting for Spring

Scared as a bundle of winter,
waiting for spring to become
the reason for this new leaf
to exist upward, above:
A white letter sitting, here
on a bench, life spreads open.

Butterflies of snow, glowing,
representing memories;
the result of forgetting
is the empowerment of
life after renouncing time.

The clock, the clock, so it struck
as I became the day spring
set its eyes on this leaf, so
it could be allowed to grow.
